Mr. Papaikonomou is a highly analytical team leader with hands on development experience and proven ability to direct large scale commercial projects. He has extensive experience with overall development responsibility across diverse product categories and geographic regions.
He has more than 28 years’ experience in development, construction, and acquisition of land for residential, office and mixed-use projects in South Africa, Dubai, and the United States. He has directed the overall development process, including concept, entitlement, architectural, planning, design and engineering, contract negotiation and administration and project management for over $5 billion in completed developments.
Mr. Papaikonomou has orchestrated more than 8 million square feet of leasing, sales, and development transactions with a successful track record of completing difficult projects. He excels at teambuilding and executing strategic vision and goals. Concentrating on the development of urban oriented upscale residential projects in Florida, Mr. Papaikonomou recently completed a mixed-use development of 1.2 million sqft and is currently involved with a 600,000 sqft mixed use development, both in Hollywood, Florida.
In addition to his development activities, Mr. Papaikonomou was active with civil and charitable organizations in South Africa which included the creation of educational programs for those in previously disadvantaged businesses. For many years, he was an active member of the South African Gauteng Urban Land Development Council, responsible for the greater Johannesburg Town planning scheme.
